- Conducted on-ground investigation into a grave incident of predatory sexual grooming in Delhi’s Uttam Nagar and escalated the case to higher agencies for a deeper probe into organised crime
- Escalated the case of a PhD aspirant, Harendra Kumar, after he alleged religious discrimination in admissions at Jamia Millia Islamia University. Harendra has alleged that he has been denied admission despite clearing the written exam and is being targeted for his activism in getting the University to enforce quota
- Legally intervened to get the Scheduled Caste benefits cancelled of two families in UP’s Fatehpur and Lucknow districts respectively after they were caught influencing Hindu families into conversion to Christianity
- Filed an official complaint against a man from Delhi professing the Muslim faith for availing a pension under a scheme for Scheduled Castes in violation of Para 3 of the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950

- Continued with our self-defence training program for over 150 Pakistani Hindu refugee and underprivileged children enrolled at our Jodhpur centre
- Financially aided a Divyang-run centre in Delhi’s Okhla Nagar that provides free-of-cost education, computer literacy and nutritious meals to 100 underprivileged, slum-dwelling children daily

We conducted an on-ground investigation into a case of predatory sexual grooming in Uttam Nagar, Delhi, where a minor girl was targeted and exploited over several months. The accused was jailed under the POCSO Act. A video reportedly shows him stating that he was paid by another person to target Hindu girls for conversion, which points to an organised network rather than a lone offender. We took up the case of Harendra Kumar, a PhD aspirant who has alleged caste-based discrimination, retaliation and manipulation of admissions at Jamia Millia Islamia, a Central University. He qualified the entrance test and appeared for the PhD interaction in Computer Science but was not admitted, even though the University’s own records show 20 seats advertised in the department and 12 still vacant. He has been pursuing a court case to enforce Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe reservation at the University, and says the Registrar has pressed him to withdraw it. He has placed his allegations before the National Human Rights Commission, the National Commission for Scheduled Castes and the President of India. We legally intervened to seek cancellation of the Scheduled Caste benefits of two families in Uttar Pradesh, in Fatehpur and Lucknow districts, after they were found influencing Hindu families to convert to Christianity. In Fatehpur, a woman acting as an agent of a conversion group called women to her home in the name of prayer to cure the sick and the paralysed, while promoting the Bible and pressing them to give up Hinduism. The anti-conversion law has been invoked, and we formally sought cancellation of the Scheduled Caste status and quota benefits of the woman and her family, who belong to the Paswan community. We filed a formal complaint against a man in Delhi who professes Islam while holding a Scheduled Caste certificate and drawing an army pension obtained under that status. Scheduled Caste status and its benefits are available only to those professing Hinduism, Sikhism or Buddhism, in line with Para 3 of the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950. We sought cancellation of the certificate, revocation of the pension and service benefits, recovery of the funds disbursed, and criminal action against those who facilitated the fraud.

We held an educational workshop for residents of a colony in Rohini, Delhi, on the Drugs and Magic Remedies Act and other laws that allow action against conversion rackets. We organised a free self-defence and de-addiction workshop for residents of Bhalu village in Balesar, Jodhpur, an underserved area that struggles with substance abuse. Nearly 30 villagers took part in the three-hour camp, which combined yoga, self-defence techniques and awareness of the harms of addiction. 𝟖. 𝗞𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘄𝗮 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗛𝗥𝗖 𝗻𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗵𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
On our complaint, the National Human Rights Commission took cognisance and called on the Khandwa administration in Madhya Pradesh to inquire and submit an Action Taken Report over the desecration of a Shiva and Hanuman temple in Pandhana, where meat was placed inside the shrine to disturb communal harmony. An accused was arrested after the police examined CCTV footage. We pressed that the case not be diluted by portraying the accused as mentally unstable and that the instigators behind the act be arrested.
𝟗. 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗮 𝗮𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗰𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗱𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲
On our complaint, the National Human Rights Commission took cognisance and directed the Agra administration in Uttar Pradesh to inquire and submit an Action Taken Report in a case of coerced religious conversion and domestic violence. A woman was pressed to convert, and her minor son was denied an Aadhaar card and school admission unless she did so, alongside repeated violence and threats. Despite an FIR and an arrest, the threat from co-accused relatives remains, and we sought protection for the woman and her child, the child’s documents and schooling, strict legal action, and legal aid.
𝟏𝟎. 𝗙𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗻-𝗱𝘂𝘁𝘆 𝗺𝘂𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗵𝗶 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗹 𝗞𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗿
We filed a complaint with the National Human Rights Commission over the on-duty murder of Anil Kumar, a 27-year-old sanitation worker with the municipal corporation who was stabbed to death in Kalyanpuri, East Delhi. We flagged the absence of basic safety protection for sanitation workers, that he was reportedly called to work on his day off, and that the police initially told the family it was an accident before the stab wounds were found. We demanded accountability, action against the culprit and any negligent officers, and enforceable safety protocols for sanitation workers across the city.
𝟏𝟏. 𝗠𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝗮 𝗵𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴-𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗗𝗵𝗮𝗺𝘁𝗮𝗿𝗶, 𝗖𝗵𝗵𝗮𝘁𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗵
We legally intervened to seek action against a racket in Risaipara, Dhamtari, Chhattisgarh, that lured vulnerable and unwell residents to change their religion with false promises of miracle cures through prayer. The event was held under the guise of a prayer meeting, and local objections brought the police to the spot. We moved the National Human Rights Commission for a time-bound investigation, action against the network, and protection for the affected families.
𝟏𝟐. Over 150 Pakistani Hindu refugee and other underprivileged children continued their self-defence training at our full-time Jodhpur centre. We run the centre free of cost, and it has grown into a steady program for children and youth from refugee and other underprivileged migrant communities.
𝟏𝟑. We financially aided a Divyang-run centre in Okhla Nagar, Delhi, that provides free-of-cost education, computer literacy and nutritious meals to 100 underprivileged, slum-dwelling children every day. We back the centre so it can keep running and so these children can grow with dignity.

Unlawful conversion mafias are a demographic threat that the Home Ministry has taken up as a top priority. They do not merely exploit.
