SEWA NYAYA UTTHAN FOUNDATION
Service. Justice. Inclusion

Jodhpur: Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation (SNU) organised a Self-Defence and De-Addiction Awareness Camp at Bhalu village in Tehsil Balesar, Jodhpur district, Rajasthan, on 19 August 2026. Nearly 30 villagers participated in the free-of-cost camp that lasted three hours.
The camp covered yoga sessions for physical and mental well-being, self-defence techniques for personal safety in adverse situations, and awareness on the physical, mental and social harms of substance addiction. The training was conducted by Bharat Pannu, a 4th Dan Black Belt and former serviceman and coach associated with Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation.
Bhalu village lacks proper road connectivity and remains among the more underdeveloped areas of the district. A majority of residents in the area are affected by substance addiction, and the camp’s de-addiction component was designed specifically to address this.
Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation will continue to conduct such awareness camps in underserved rural areas of Rajasthan, combining health, safety and de-addiction outreach for communities with limited access to these resources.
