WHAT WE DID
Our team went into Jharauda village, assessed the ground and ran an awareness campaign among residents. Police had arrested 12 individuals in this village the previous week.
We distributed pamphlets on the methods conversion networks use across the country, explained crypto conversion and told residents plainly that persons professing Christianity cannot claim Scheduled Caste status, citing the Allahabad High Court order of December 2025 directing the Uttar Pradesh Government to act against converts still drawing those benefits.

Our SC/ST Cell filed against Shiv Prasad Gautam, a government school teacher who kept a post reserved for Scheduled Castes even after converting to Christianity. A Dainik Bhaskar sting exposed a conversion network in Dalrajpur village in which he and his wife were active participants, and he was arrested.
Para 3 of the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950 ends Scheduled Caste status on conversion, so the post is held against the Constitution and against every genuine Scheduled Caste candidate who was kept out of it. Notices have gone to the Principal Secretary, Social Welfare, the Additional Chief Secretary, Basic Education and the District Magistrate, Lakhimpur Kheri, with an Action Taken Report due in two weeks. We stay with this until the certificate and the benefits go.

We complained after Success The Junior College in Saidabad set Islamic lessons and prayers as compulsory homework through official school diaries, and the management called the entries a mistake even as they kept appearing. A secular school cannot make a Hindu child practise another faith to finish her homework. The Commission found the allegations prima facie violations of the human rights of the victims and called for an Action Taken Report from the Director of School Education, Telangana, the District Magistrate and the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad. We stay with this until action is taken.

We wrote to the National Human Rights Commission asking it to take cognisance, order an independent inquiry, fix accountability and recommend compensation to the family if negligence is established. Narendra Kachi was 22.
He stepped into rainwater near a transformer in Indirapuram and died of electrocution, reportedly from current leaking into the water, and it was captured on camera. Notice has gone to the Ghaziabad authorities. Nobody else was going to file for him.

Our SC/ST Cell submitted that four persons of the Pasi Scheduled Caste community in Village Salempur Bangar are professing Christianity while still availing Scheduled Caste reservation benefits, contrary to Para 3 of the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950, which confines that status to Hindu, Buddhist and Sikh communities. The Bench presided over by Member Shri Priyank Kanoongo found a prima facie violation of the human rights of genuine Scheduled Caste beneficiaries. The District Magistrate, Moradabad must verify the facts and file an Action Taken Report in two weeks. Every benefit drawn by a convert is one taken from a Scheduled Caste family that never left. We took the complaint to the Commission after a Class XI Hindu student in a school under Para Police Station, Purulia was objected to by the school administration for wearing a Tulsi mala and applying a tilak. The family alleged that talks with the school led nowhere and that she was then sent a Transfer Certificate over WhatsApp, which forced her out. Notices have gone to the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police, Purulia and to the Principal Secretary, Department of Education, West Bengal. A girl lost her classroom over what her faith asks her to wear. The state answers for that now.
