A 22-year-old worker, Narendra Kachi, tragically died of electrocution after stepping into rainwater near an electrical transformer in Indirapuram, Ghaziabad.
The death, captured ob camera, was reportedly caused from leakage of current into the water.
Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation wrote to National Human Rights Commission, urging the Commission to take cognisance, order an independent inquiry, fix accountability, and recommend compensation to the victim’s family if any negligence is established.
Taking cognisance of the complaint, NHRC member Priyank Kanoongo issued notice to Ghaziabad authorities.
