Deferred: Special Self-Defence Workshop in Delhi on 26 July 2026; Registration Open

Update: Special Self-Defence Workshop of 26 July 2026 Deferred

New Delhi, 25 July 2026: In view of the prevailing situation in Delhi, and after an internal review, Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation has decided not to proceed with the Special Self-Defence Workshop scheduled for Sunday, 26 July 2026, in Delhi.

Training of this kind requires participants to travel across the city, assemble at a single venue at a fixed hour and train together for several hours. Restrictions on movement in parts of Delhi, metro station closures, traffic diversions and heightened security arrangements have made travel and timing uncertain, and conditions have been changing from day to day.

We are also conscious that the police and civic agencies are managing a demanding situation across the capital. During a period of heightened public sensitivity, we would rather not add to movement, congestion or logistical pressure in the city, and we would rather not place any additional demand on the agencies responsible for public order. We consider that the responsible course, and it is a decision the Foundation has taken on its own assessment.

Every registered participant will receive a full refund through the original mode of payment. Our team will contact each registered participant individually. No action is required from participants at this stage, and anyone with a question may write to us at contact@sewanyaya.in.

We are grateful to everyone who took an interest in this workshop. The training remains part of our work, and we intend to hold it once conditions permit. Fresh dates will be announced in due course on sewanyaya.in.

May peace and normalcy return to Delhi soon, and may everyone in the city stay safe.
