We legally escalated the matter after videos emerged of a child being held above the crowd at the 2 October CJP protest in Mumbai while slogans were being raised. This was preceded by reports of purported group chats planning the use of children in the gathering well in advance. Taking cognizance of our complaint, @kanoongopriyank has issued notices to Mumbai Police, the IT ministry, X and Maharashtra’s women and child development department, with directions to probe, preserve and examine digital evidence, identify those involved, assess possible violations of child-protection laws, file FIRs wherever cognisable offences are disclosed, and submit Action Taken Reports within one week.

We extended financial support to a tribal couple In Lakhimpur, Assam, whose relatives allegedly barred them from their own house after they returned to Vedic Sanatana Dharma after two generations of conversion. Initially left homeless but given land by the Hindu tribal samaj, the couple can now build their house using the funds. In Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, a Hindu teacher couple belonging to a scheduled caste has alleged pressure to convert to another religion by five individuals associated with a Pentecostal group. After we legally escalated the matter, an NHRC inquiry has been ordered into the allegations with police commissioner of the district directed to submit an action taken report on two weeks.
