SEWA NYAYA UTTHAN FOUNDATION
Service. Justice. Inclusion

Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation, in collaboration with Sudarshan Vahini, has installed water troughs (haudis) for stray animals at multiple locations across Delhi to ensure access to drinking water during the ongoing heatwave.
The initiative was funded by Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation and implemented on the ground by Sudarshan Vahini volunteers.
Troughs have been installed in Mangolpuri, Mukundpur, Jahangirpuri, Adarsh Nagar, Ashok Vihar, Wazirpur, Jain Nagar, and Utsav Vihar, covering stray cows and other animals struggling to find water as temperatures across the capital reach dangerous levels.
The initiative follows Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s public appeal to citizens to ensure availability of drinking water for birds and animals during the heatwave.
Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation on the Ground
We funded and coordinated this initiative in response to the acute water distress faced by stray animals across Delhi during extreme summer temperatures.
Ground-level installation and maintenance has been carried out by Sudarshan Vahini volunteers across the eight localities covered.
Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation will continue to support animal welfare through Sudarshan Vahini volunteers and extend this initiative further as the summer progresses.
