In a heart-wrenching case that has recently come to light from Ghaziabad in Uttar Pradesh, Pooja Devi, a mother of three, tragically lost her life at the hands of her partner, Mohammed Alam.

Pooja’s family has been left devastated by her murder, and her three young children, aged 11, 9, and 6, now face an uncertain future.

Pooja’s brother-in-law, Sumit Kumar, a senior member of Bhim Army, shared his disappointment over the lack of support from the organization he has been dedicated to for eight years. Despite his contributions, Sumit revealed that the group did not come forward to assist the family in their time of need, likely due to political considerations surrounding upcoming elections and concerns over losing a particular vote bank.

While the local authorities have apprehended Alam, Pooja’s body has yet to be recovered, leaving the family in distress. Adding to their grief, Pooja’s eldest daughter has come forward with disturbing allegations of sexual harassment by Alam, but no official action has been taken in this regard.

Recognizing the urgent need for help, Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation has stepped in to support Pooja’s children by providing a grant of Rs 1 lakh to Pooja’s close relatives to raise the children. This financial assistance will ensure that Pooja’s children can continue their education without interruption. It is crucial that these young lives are given the opportunity to move forward despite the tragedy they have endured.

Our foundation believes in standing by those who are left behind and vulnerable, ensuring that their basic needs are met and that they are not forgotten. We urge others to contribute to this cause and help Pooja’s children secure a better future. Every contribution will go towards their education and well-being.
