SEWA NYAYA UTTHAN FOUNDATION
Service. Justice. Inclusion

Jodhpur: A self-defence training camp was conducted by Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation at Rajkiya Uchch Madhyamik Vidyalaya, Hudco, Jodhpur on 10 July 2026.
Around 150 students from classes 5 to 12 took part in the camp. Around 25 local residents from the surrounding area also joined the training.
The training, which ran for close to four hours, covered practical measures participants can use to protect themselves in emergency and challenging situations. Self-defence techniques were demonstrated during the session, along with practice in alertness, confidence-building, and quick and effective response in moments of crisis.
The training was conducted by Bharat Pannu, chief instructor at the Foundation’s free martial arts training centre in Jodhpur. Bharat Pannu is a former serviceman and a 4th Dan Black Belt martial arts instructor with over 13 years of experience in the field.
Sanjeev Newar, founder of the Foundation, said the organisation’s objective is to build a culture of self-defence in society, particularly among economically and socially disadvantaged sections.
He said self-defence is not merely a physical skill but also a means of building confidence and mental resilience.
Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation continues to work in the fields of education, social awareness, and skill development.
