IMPORTANT JUSTICE UPDATE – BIJAYNAGAR (AJMER) RAPE-BLACKMAIL-CONVERSION CASE

Many of you may remember the rape-blackmail-conversion racket exposed in February 2025 at Bijaynagar in Ajmer, where dozens of minor girls were targeted.

As seen repeatedly in communal gender crimes, all victims were Hindu minor girls and the perpetrators from another community.

A MAJOR MILESTONE

In last week of January 2026, the court directed the State to frame charges under POCSO against the accused.

This is the first decisive legal breakthrough in the case that was widely reported nationally.

WHY THIS WAS EXTRAORDINARILY DIFFICULT

This outcome did not come easily.

Throughout the investigation, victim families were repeatedly offered large sums of money to withdraw or dilute their complaints.

These families – poor, vulnerable, yet dignified – refused to compromise.

Several fathers were forced to stop working due to continuous threats, intimidation, and fear for their lives.

Entire households were confined indoors, pushed into severe financial distress and near-penury.

The intent was, clearly, to break the families economically so the cases collapse.

SEWA NYAYA UTTHAN’S ROLE

It is important to place on record that Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation, along with committed ground partners from Dharmansh Foundation India, has been providing sustained financial and logistical support to the affected families.

We are providing monthly livelihood support so families could survive without succumbing to pressure, and assistance to ensure cases were not withdrawn, diluted or compromised.

We are also in continuous engagement to help families withstand intimidation during the legal process

This legal milestone was achieved because the families held firm, and they could hold firm because they were not left to starve.
