- Got summon orders issued to Jama Masjid Shahi Imam Syed Ahmed Bukhari and seven others from a Delhi court over massive public land grab around the mosque complex including an illegal hospital, illegal medical centre, illegal farmhouse and illegal car parking.
- Rescued a minor girl from a predator’s trap within three weeks. We helped the girl’s father file a habeas corpus in Delhi High Court after she went missing in August, and secured urgent orders for her recovery.
- Notice issued to Delhi Police by National Human Rights Commission after we exposed and complained about a Pentecostal faith-healing gathering of over 500 people in Hyatt Centric hotel in Janakpuri, Delhi, on Sunday. We flagged unlawful conversion through promises of miracles and lure of money. We also asked for a probe into the Scheduled Caste status of participants.
- Notice issued to Moradabad district magistrate by National Commission for Scheduled Castes after we researched, compiled and submitted a list of people belonging to Scheduled Caste but practicing Christianity and using ‘Masih’ or its variation as surname, for possible violation of Para 3 of the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950 that restricts Scheduled Caste status to practicing Hindus, Sikhs and Buddhists.
- Exposed and officially complained seeking a deeper police probe into a case where a Hindu college student was influenced to convert to Islam on campus and was later found wandering alone in an unstable mental condition. Sought investigation into a possible organised conversion network, use of deceit or unlawful means such as hate speech, potential targeting of other students, and the woman’s immediate rehabilitation and protection.
- Educated over 1,000 students and faculty members across three campuses on tactics used by sexual grooming gangs, forced conversions and other crimes carried out through relationships, and how to resist and report such tactics, under our ongoing on-campus program in Bhopal that has already trained over 10,000 students across more than 150 campuses in the city since its launch in July 2025. This program has won official recognition from the MP government.
- Our complaint made in 2023 against a school in Damoh, MP, was vindicated through a court order. In 2023, we complained against a school named Ganga Jamna of forcing Hindu students to wear burqa and recite texts of another religion. A police case was filed against several staff members of the school under MP’s anti-forced conversion law. The accused moved MP High Court to get the FIR quashed, but the plea was dismissed on the ground that a criminal case was made out.
- Officially filed a complaint against a Pentecostal faith-healing racket caught running from inside a house in Deoria, UP, targeting people from marginalised communities. We flagged the promotion of superstitions and black magic, possible use of inducements, and a probe into the financial backing to the operation.
- Notice issued to Bilaspur police and administration in a case of communal violence that took place in Masanganj area in the last week of August, reportedly injuring over 50, after two sides clashed over a social media post. Authorities have been asked to submit an Action Taken Report in the matter within three weeks.
- Provided training in self-defence to two batches covering over 150 children from displaced tribal families from Pakistan and domestic migrant families at our dedicated Martial Arts centre in Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
- Financially aided a study centre in Delhi’s Okhla Nagar run by a Divyang person that provides value education, computer literacy and nutritious meals to 100 underprivileged children daily.

𝟏. 𝗚𝗼𝘁 𝗝𝗮𝗺𝗮 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗷𝗶𝗱’𝘀 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗵𝗶 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗺 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘁 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗯
We backed the civil suit over large-scale grabbing of public land around the Jama Masjid complex in Delhi, and a Delhi court has now ordered summons to eight defendants, among them Syed Ahmed Bukhari, a hospital and a medical centre carrying the Bukhari name, a car-parking trust, the Government of NCT of Delhi, the District Magistrate (Central), the Public Works Department and the power distribution company. The encroachments complained of include a permanent structure used as a residence, a hospital, a medical centre, a paid car-parking operation, an e-rickshaw charging station and the occupation of three public parks. The defendants must now answer the suit formally in court, and the next hearing is fixed for 29 October. The research, the representations to government authorities and the court proceedings have been carried by Preet Sirohi through Save India Foundation. The same team earlier pursued the Faiz-e-Elahi Mosque encroachment in the Ramlila Maidan and Turkman Gate area of Delhi, which ended in extensive demolition.

A minor girl from Delhi went missing in August after a grown-up man contacted her on Instagram and, within a month, drew her away from her home to Gujarat. In a small village temple he put sindoor in her hair and a garland around her neck before a Ganesh murti, declared that they were married, and on that pretence sexually exploited her. We helped her father file a habeas corpus petition in the Delhi High Court and secured urgent orders for her recovery. The police traced her and brought her back on 13 September, three weeks after she left. She is with her parents, she has agreed to leave the man, and she is back in school after our counselling. Cases like this are why we and our partners have also filed interventions against the proposal to lower the age of consent, a change that would put schoolgirls exactly like her outside the protection of the law.

Over 500 people, most of them from nearby jhuggi settlements, were assembled at the Hyatt Centric hotel in Janakpuri, Delhi, on a Sunday for a Pentecostal faith-healing gathering. We exposed it and complained against it, flagging unlawful conversion carried out through promises of miracle cures and the lure of money, and we asked that the Scheduled Caste status of those present be examined, since Scheduled Caste status and its benefits are available only to those professing Hinduism, Sikhism or Buddhism under Para 3 of the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950. The National Human Rights Commission has issued notice to Delhi Police. The police had publicly maintained that those present were members of the local Christian community at their regular Sunday prayer, which is exactly why we pressed for the full list of participants to be furnished and verified rather than accepted on assertion.

We researched, compiled and submitted to the National Commission for Scheduled Castes a list of people in Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, who hold Scheduled Caste status while practising Christianity and using Masih, or a variation of it, as a surname. Para 3 of the Constitution (Scheduled Castes) Order, 1950 restricts Scheduled Caste status to those professing Hinduism, Sikhism or Buddhism, so every quota job and welfare benefit drawn on such a certificate is drawn in violation of it. The Commission has issued notice to the District Magistrate of Moradabad and ordered a report within fifteen days, failing which the District Magistrate faces summons from a civil court. Every benefit taken this way is taken out of the hands of a genuine Scheduled Caste family, and we will pursue each certificate to cancellation. A Hindu student at a college in Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, was worked on by a classmate until she recited the kalma and converted, and was then introduced to a man from that classmate’s community, for whom she left her home. She was later found wandering alone in the streets in an unstable mental condition, asking to be given a room in which to pray namaz. Local residents spoke to her and called the police, and her family came for her but did not want to file a complaint against anyone. We exposed the case and complained officially, seeking a deeper police probe into a possible organised conversion network, into the use of deceit or unlawful means such as hate speech, into whether other students on that campus have been targeted, and for the woman’s immediate rehabilitation and protection. Colleges, offices and gyms are fast becoming centres of conversion operations, and a family’s reluctance to complain is precisely what these networks count on.

We educated over 1,000 students and faculty members across three campuses on the tactics used by sexual grooming gangs, on forced conversions, and on other crimes carried out through manufactured relationships, and on how to recognise, resist and report them. The sessions run under our ongoing on-campus program in Bhopal, which has trained over 10,000 students across more than 150 campuses in the city since it was launched in July 2025 and has won official recognition from the Madhya Pradesh government. A student who knows the tactic and knows the law is far harder to isolate, and isolation is what every one of these operations depends on.
𝟕. 𝗗𝗮𝗺𝗼𝗵 𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹’𝘀 𝗯𝗶𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱, 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗳𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘁
In 2023 we complained against Ganga Jamna school in Damoh, Madhya Pradesh, for forcing Hindu students to wear the burqa and recite the religious texts of another faith while prohibiting the kalawa and the tilak on its campus. Our complaint was taken up, notices were issued to the authorities, and a police case followed against several members of the school’s staff under the state’s anti-forced conversion law. The accused went to the Madhya Pradesh High Court to have the case quashed. The court has dismissed that plea, holding that a criminal case is made out, and the trial will continue. This is what staying on a case means, from investigation to complaint to a lasting institutional outcome three years later.

We filed an official complaint against a Pentecostal faith-healing operation being run from inside a house in Bhatni Dadan village, Deoria, Uttar Pradesh, which targeted people from marginalised communities. We flagged the promotion of superstition and black magic, the possible use of inducements, and the need for a probe into who is financing the operation, and we sought verification of the caste-certificate status and the welfare benefits of those facilitating the conversions. The National Human Rights Commission has taken cognisance and issued notice to the Principal Secretary of the Department of Social Welfare, Uttar Pradesh, and to the District Magistrate and the Superintendent of Police of Deoria, directing them to inquire into the allegations and submit an Action Taken Report within two weeks. Communal violence broke out in the Masanganj area of Bilaspur, Chhattisgarh, in the last week of August after two sides clashed over a social media post, reportedly leaving over 50 people injured. We took the matter to the National Human Rights Commission and sought a time-bound investigation into everyone who instigated it, along with medical relief and compensation for the injured. Over 150 children from displaced tribal families from Pakistan and from domestic migrant families continued their self-defence training in two batches at our dedicated martial arts centre in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. We run the centre free of cost, and it has grown into a steady program for children and youth from displaced and underprivileged migrant communities.
