In a step to empower rural and tribal children through safety education and care, Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation conducted a special Atmaraksha Shivir (Self-Defence Camp) and distributed fruits and stationery kits to over 300 underprivileged children in Palod village, Raipur district of Chhattisgarh.

The event took place in the open premises of Bharat Mata Mandir and involved children from Classes 5 to 12. Participants were trained in basic self-defence skills, situational awareness drills, and practical techniques to protect themselves in threatening circumstances. The session was led by Coach Bharat Pannu, a 4th Dan Black Belt in Karate and a former armyman, who currently heads Sewa Nyaya’s full-time self-defence centre for displaced tribal families in Jodhpur.

Following the training, all children received seasonal fruits and essential stationery items as part of the Foundation’s ongoing care initiative.

Swati Goel Sharma, founder of Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation, said,

“ True empowerment begins with education, safety and nourishment. Our mission is to ensure no child is left behind, especially in villages where such resources are rare.”

This initiative reflects the Foundation’s continuing commitment to strengthening grassroots Bharat through purposeful, on-ground interventions.
