Sewa Nyaya Utthan provided an autorickshaw to Abhishek Khatik in Madhya Pradesh to help him earn a living after he exited an institution, the managers of which were later booked for unlawful conversions. The support was extended soon after his release, when he had no income source and no family backing.

Abhishek was placed in the institution as a child and spent several years there. Over time, it emerged that the setup functioned as a front for coercive religious conversion, mainly targeting socially and economically vulnerable children. A criminal case has been registered in connection with these activities. The matter is currently sub judice.

After leaving the institution, Abhishek faced immediate financial uncertainty. Such situations often leave individuals exposed to pressure, re-coercion, or unsafe work.

The autorickshaw by Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation was provided as a practical livelihood option, allowing him to work independently within his local area. It is now being used as his primary source of income.

Alongside livelihood support, legal facilitation has been extended to ensure access to due process in matters linked to unlawful religious conversions. Livelihood rehabilitation and legal proceedings have been kept separate to maintain clarity and dignity.

Your support enables Sewa Nyaya Utthan to continue supporting rehabilitation efforts that combine practical independence with legal accountability.
