At a village in Pune’s Haveli block, Sewa Nyaya Utthan (SNU) Foundation strengthened a stitching centre for 80+ dalit and marginalised women by equipping it with two high-end industrial sewing machines on 25 August, 2025.
SNU founder Swati Goel Sharma personally handed over the machines and interacted with the women, who expressed their excitement at the opportunity to scale their work.
The centre, run by SNU ally Pune-based Muktai Sewa Sanstha, now has the capacity to produce market-ready products, enabling women to secure sustainable income and dignity.
