In a vital outreach to Bharat’s rural heartland, Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation extended support to the marginalised communities in Badka Gaon, a small village in Buxar district of Bihar.

Led by journalist-activist Swati Goel Sharma, the Foundation team visited the village and personally distributed clothes and essential supplies to dozens of families living in poverty. These families, already reeling from economic deprivation, had been targeted by unscrupulous religious agents who used rituals and monetary inducements to convert villagers through deception.

The visit was part of a joint mission with Agni Samaj, which honoured five local villagers – including a schoolteacher – with Rashtra Jyoti Samman.

The Foundation’s work in Buxar is part of its broader initiative to support victims of exploitation, empower Dalit and tribal communities, and uphold constitutional rights in areas that often go unnoticed by mainstream civil society.
