Sewa Nyaya Utthan Holds Public Awareness Program On Communal Gender Crimes in Delhi’s Nangloi

New Delhi: An awareness session on communal gender crimes and relationships initiated through concealed religious identity was conducted by Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation in Nangloi, Delhi, on 4 July 2026.

The session, organised in association with Sudarshan Vahini, was attended by around 20 local residents – all men, as this session was meant specifically for them to save the women in their families.

Participants were informed through documented case patterns about the methods used to trap women into coercive relationships such as by concealing identity to form relationships, religious hate comments and emotional manipulation.

The session also discussed the rising number of such cases being reported from different parts of the country, and the Foundation’s concerns regarding the impact of such deceptive relationships on the nation’s demographic balance.

Participants were encouraged to exercise caution before entering personal relationships, verify identity claims independently, and approach the appropriate authorities in case of coercion, deception, or any other unlawful conduct.

The workshop concluded with an interactive discussion during which participants raised questions and sought clarification on identity verification, legal remedies, and reporting procedures.

This was the 11th session in Sewa Nyaya Utthan Foundation’s ongoing programme to educate residents across Delhi about unlawful conversions and exploitative relationships.
